On the third night of Chanuka the FTI Bais Medrash was bursting with the light and joy of the chag as our talmidim, bochurim, Rebbeim, staff, and faculty all joined together for an evening of celebration. Joining us was the honored Rabbi Dovid Max, brother of our own Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Shimon Max.
Rabbi Dovid Max and his family live in Richboro area of Bucks County where they founded the Community Torah Center (CTC). He also serves as the Rabbi of the LBA Hebrew school there.cAfter we all lit our menorahs, Rabbi Dovid spoke to the Yeshiva and inspired us all with his d’var Torah.
The evening concluded with lively music, joyful dancing, and a delicious meal of shawarma and latkes made fresh by FTI’s expert chef, Rabbi Elie Rand. It truly was the perfect way to celebrate the message of the holiday: with the joy and miracle of Torah study and service of Hashem.
Rabbi Chananya Kramer is our Menahel, and he comes with a wealth of experience in teaching Mesivta bochurim. Rabbi Kramer has served as a Rebbe at Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim in Queens since 2008. There, he became a legendary teacher, satisfying each student’s individual intellectual appetite, and connecting to them with his magnetic personality and palpable concern for the needs of each talmid. He also holds administrative positions at several other youth-related Mosdos. Rabbi Kramer sees an incredible opportunity to help bring FTI – already a fast growing yeshiva – to a whole new level, and turn it into a premier Yeshiva which will positively impact the community at large as well. Rabbi Kramer is married to Hindy (nee Luban) and they have 5 children.
